The Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) 8 certified the first batch of Regional Pool of GAD Resource Persons (RPGRP) during its 3rd Quarter meeting last September 18, 2024, at the Southern Leyte Employees Multi-purpose Cooperative (SLEMCOOP) Function Hall, Asuncion, Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

Among the seven (7) newly conferred RPGRP in Eastern Visayas is 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗠. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮, Science Research Specialist II of PSTO Southern Leyte.

The members successfully passed a rigorous evaluation process based on the parameters provided in the guidelines approved by the RDC. Their expertise is expected to play a crucial role in delivering GAD-related capacity development interventions to both government and private institutions in the region.

Mr. Calonia’s certification as member of Eastern Visayas’ RPGRP underscores DOST8’s commitment to advancing gender and development initiatives throughout the region.
